Christian Prayer 6
Reflection Questions: Is prayer for you really an encounter with God? How do you encounter God in your daily life? How do you behave in that encounter? What happens during the encounter?
Why did I decide to open a blog? The answer is... to use the blog as an instrument of apostolate to the readers, making use of the little energy I have to work and to do something for others. This is an instrument compatible with my age and present physical situation. I hope to do a bit of good with my reflections. You never repent for doing good.
If some of the readers desire to send messages, please do so. But make them short to facilitate my reading them. I thank you all, dear readers of these reflections for becoming part of my blog.
I was born in Burgos, Spain and I turned 70 last May 7, 2009. I was ordained a Salesian Priest on February 28, 1965. In September 1966, I arrived in Manila to work in the Salesian mission in this part of the world.
I was Master of Novices for 3 years in Canlubang, Laguna. I was assigned as Vice-Provincial for 5 years and then as Provincial from 1981 to 1987. I was Provincial at the same time of the Philippine North and South, of Papua New Guinea, of Indonesia and East Timor.
After 6 years I was appointed Rector of the students of Theology followed by being the Missions Procurator of the Northern Province of the Philippines and later on, Provincial Economer of the same province for 6 years.
My best years were when I taught the novices, the students of Philosophy and Theology. This is the journey I had made during my public life.
